The Business Issue
A key challenge for any show organiser is to find an efficient way of bringing together the best content produced by the many visitors, participating brands, key sponsors and the host’s own messaging.
Salon Privé wanted a way to gather all of this content in order to increase engagement, social advocacy and ultimately open up a very exclusive event to a wider audience. Further, the solution had to be simple and seamless to implement and it needed to align with their branding guidelines in an aesthetically compelling way.
Storystream’s LiveHub (pictured right) offered the perfect solution, becoming the one-stop destination for the event. The story was embedded onto the Salon Privé website using our iframe feature. This allowed those who weren’t attending to get a real first-hand sense of what was happening in real-time, leading to remote inclusion for a wider, and potentially new target audience.
Additionally viewers could enjoy the content with full responsiveness through any device of their choice, as well as the actual content being curated, on site and mobile on an iPad.
Using Storystream, Salon Privé were able to deploy their campaign with seamless website integration within days of the brief, meaning they were able to begin curation of the pre-event content, harnessing, and as a result boosting the overall desirability.
The onsite team were able to curate content from tablets during the event and the auctions, offering an agile solution. As a result, there was a great mixture of exhibitor, sponsor and user-generated content. During a three-day event the system pulled in an impressive 3,000+ images, with a potential social reach of over 2.5 million people.
The LiveHub is now a beautiful asset library for Salon Privé, showing the most influential people who contributed to the weekend’s content, also enabling the stream to be used as a case study for potential sponsors or clients, and for promoting ticket sales for the next event in 2015.
