The Business Issue
Getty Images had a large team of photographers on the ground with access to exclusive behind the scenes activities during the Oscars 2014. They needed an online space where they could showcase the very best content from the pre ceremony activities, the awards night and the after party. They also wanted the opportunity to seamlessly blend their own photography with UGC and the general buzz around the event.
We created a LiveHub with feeds pulling in content from all of the official Getty Images sources and photographers as well as UGC using the event hashtag. The destination was promoted across social networks and photographers were encouraged to use a specific hashtag to be part of the story. This allowed Getty Images to tell the story of the Oscars 2014 in a beautiful output which could be consumed across devices and browsers in real-time.
